Sickmode & Mish chat about their RAVE LOVE anthem for REBiRTH

Are you ready to discover the mayhem together with this year's REBiRTH anthem makers, Sickmode and Mish? Hardstyle.com spoke to the RAVE LOVE duo about their energetic track 'Discover The Mayhem,' which came out today. "People were already screaming ‘RE-BIRTH’ the first time we played it, so that was cool to hear!"

Mish and Sickmode debuted their REBiRTH anthem together with MC Livid on March 16th at Welcome To The Gang in front of 10,000 people, receiving an excellent crowd reaction. "Playing a new track for the first time can be difficult since you don’t know how the crowd will react. But it definitely felt like everyone enjoyed the anthem!"

'Discover The Mayhem' is the theme for this year's REBiRTH Festival. "To us, Mayhem means something unusual, over the top and ‘aggressive,’" explains the RAVE LOVE couple. They were focused on taking the theme literally and portrayed this in this year's anthem: "The first two drops progressively get harder as you scream 'THIS IS MAYHEM' before each of them. Everything eventually comes full circle and ‘back down to earth’ with the climax at the end."

Sickmode & Mish: "Our RAVE LOVE set at REBiRTH will be really special"

On the Saturday of REBiRTH Festival, Sickmode and Mish will perform this year's anthem show. They will be on the mainstage from 20:45 until 21:15. According to your favorite rave duo, you can expect an amazing anthem show. "We'll bring a lot of energy, new crazy edits, and all-around good vibes as always. We always have so much fun on stage together, but this one will be really special." 

When Sickmode and Mish created their first RAVE LOVE EP in August 2022, they didn't expect it to become popular so quickly. "Originally, we wanted to do the EP so we could spend more time together in the studio. We also wanted to make something that could portray our relationship through music." 

After seeing the EP's success and being away from each other because of different bookings, they thought it would be a great idea to form a live act based on it. "That was one of the best decisions we ever made." Both Sickmode and Mish never expected that now, 1,5 years after the release of their first RAVE LOVE EP, they would be asked to make the REBiRTH anthem. "It was such a cool surprise for us because we have a harder style than the previous anthems. But we're super excited to combine the RAVE LOVE experience with a Festival Anthem."
